Books that balance. Every month. To the penny.
Ledgerline keeps the books for small operations: monthly close, clean categories, and a one page report written in plain English. This whole site is laid out like your ledger will be: legible, ruled, and reconciled.

Services
Sample rates Tick a row, the total keeps itselfEvery engagement is built from these five rows. Untick what you do not need; the running total recalculates as you go, and your selection carries down into the contact form. With scripts off, the table shows all five services totalled: still a complete price list, just quieter.

Method
Four rows, in order, every time-
STEP-01
The handoff
Send what you have. A shoebox counts. A drawer counts. A folder named "misc final FINAL" counts. We have seen worse and we will not ask how it got this way.
-
STEP-02
The clean-up
Backlog posted, duplicates removed, categories rebuilt so they mean something. Quoted flat before we start, so the clean-up never becomes its own mystery expense.
-
STEP-03
The monthly close
Accounts reconciled and closed by the [set day]th of each month. Closed means closed: the numbers stop moving, which is the point of having numbers.
-
STEP-04
The report you will actually read
One page. What came in, what went out, what is owed, and the one thing worth doing about it. No dashboard, no login, no chart with a gradient.
Who keeps the books
[Set your name], [set your credential]. [Set your years] years of keeping books for cafes, contractors, and one-van operations; fluent in [set your software] and in explaining it without it. Ledgerline stays deliberately small so that the person who answers your email is the person who closed your month.
We are precise about money and relaxed about everything else. Questions are free and encouraged, including the ones that start with "this is probably stupid, but".

| CL-01 | [Sample client] Sample | Coffee roaster | 2023 | Reconciled |

Post an entry below and your row appears above, marked pending, while your email app opens with the message ready to send. The row is a preview; the email is the record. Nothing reaches us until you send it yourself.
While you type, your name, email and note are held as a draft in this browser's own storage, so a reload does not cost you the entry. Posting the entry clears that draft.
Notes to the accounts
The questions everyone asks-
Monthly engagements start at [set your floor]. Every rate we charge is printed on the pricing ledger, which is the page after this one. If a number is not on that page, we do not charge it.
-
Common enough that it has its own line on the pricing ledger. Clean-up is quoted flat after we see the backlog, so the fix costs what we said it would cost. Behind is a state, not a character flaw.
-
[Set your software], primarily, and we can meet you where you are. If you are on paper, we will type. If you are on a spreadsheet, we have seen that movie and know how it ends.
-
Your CPA receives closed books, a clean trial balance, and answers to their questions within a day. We speak fluent accountant so that you do not have to learn it in April.
